This is a period of wild transition for me. I am, nevertheless, pleased to see that a friend (who I have never met) has taken up the torch and started his own blog, which I think is a good thing. Out here in the blogosphere we do what we can to express ourselves and inspire. Sometimes inspiration comes from hundreds or thousands of miles away.
I mentioned that I have a "friend" I have never met. We have talked many times, and for long periods occasionally, as a matter of course in our jobs. We are IT guys. Networking can be challenging. When you are dealing with subnets over frame relays...things can be tough.
Working with someone over long distance to resolve those problems can be an interesting experience. We live in an evermore interconnected world. I think that is a good thing. As with anything--auto mechanics, house wiring or plumbing--having the proper tools are important.
Routers and switches and hubs, Oh My!
Fortunately for us (we plebes) the process is becoming ever more easy to deal with.
